New research by Young People Now finds that England’s media has begun depicting youth in a more positive light, but it still has a long way to go. In 2004, about 71 percent of articles about youth were negative. The next year the number had dropped to 57 percent. But for both years, only about 12 percent of stories about youth were classed as “positive.”
