She developed a broad financial skill set through the Financial Analyst program at Goldman Sachs. Sharese has completed service and international education programs including filmmaking exchanges for young producers throughout the UK with the Experiment in International Living (2005, 2006). What you may not know about Sharese:
Sharese was born and raised in Brooklyn, lived on an organic farm during high school (in Vermont), and as a teen, wanted to be an environmental activist. She even started a community environmental education project during high school, which became an environmental non-profit education program “one love, many seeds.”
She loves music (hip-hop, jazz, world music, and British rock), can juggle, and collects letter openers (as well as vintage clothing and accessories). She has produced over 100 concerts, benefits, screenings, and panels, and even produced a cooking show that was piloted in 2004.
Sharese began traveling as a teenager and has visited over 25 countries to date in Asia, Africa, Western Europe, the Caribbean, and Central/South America. Her recent travel to India was most transformational and helped her realize that her dream job will highlight travel to new communities and working with talented young producers and their adult allies. Sharese loves the youth media field—within it, she constantly learns, researches, writes, and presents new ideas about youth, media, culture, new media, and communications.
