THE GIRLS PROJECT
For the past nine years The Girls Project has conducted girl-centered empowerment programs and has developed curriculum materials for elementary, middle, and high school girls,* with a focus on themes such as stereotypes, media, puberty/sexuality, relationships, women's history, activism, health, and body and soul (to name a few).
*Note: The materials for the high school level are specifically focused on
immigrant teens.
ONE DAY TRAINING
Whether you are developing programming for girls or want to infuse your existing programs with fresh ideas, curricula, and energy, our training is an opportunity for educators, program directors, and staff who work with girls to learn about The Girls Project curriculum and teaching methodology.
This training will cover:
* Themes in the Girls Project curriculum;
* Collaborative/democratic education methods;
* The role of art and advocacy in education;
* The nuances of running a gender-based program.

HOW MUCH: The cost is $250 per participant (depending on the size of your
agency, this fee is negotiable.)
This price includes the training as well as a light breakfast and lunch. Each participant will receive a pdf file of curriculum.
